To celebrate its 110th anniversary, Caffè Cagliari S.p.A. returns to Host, the trade fair dedicated to the Ho.Re.Ca. sector taking place from 18 to 22 October in Milan, with a series of new ideas. The Modenese coffee company will set up its stand (Pavilion 22 – Stand B26/C25) to celebrate its 110 years of activity and the official presentation of PURO 44, a blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans from organic farming for the professional distribution channel.
“In the last few years consumers’ interest in high quality and organic products has increased greatly”, Alessandra Cagliari, C.E.O of Caffè Cagliari S.p.A. affirms. “PURO 44 is a refined blend of uniquely Arabica quality, with a low caffeine content, originating from plantations in Central and South America farmed according to organic farming standards. The resulting espresso is both pleasant and very particular: there are notes of chocolate and caramel, typical of Guatemala and the citrus aromas that characterise Colombian coffees.“
PURO 44, whose number indicates the number of chromosomes present in Arabica coffee beans, confirms Caffè Cagliari relentless research of the finest coffees. On every day of the trade fair it will be possible to taste PURO 44 and take part in 30-minute guided tastings at 11.30, 15.00 and 16.30.
Our commitment to the environment is also demonstrated with another new development: compostable, compatible capsules with the Lavazza A Modo Mio® system. Dedicated to consumers particularly sensitive to environmental sustainability, the capsules are self-protected and able to conserve the taste of just-roasted coffee for a long time. Available in the traditional Gran Caffè blend, mainly composed of sweet Arabica beans coming from Central and South America, they create a coffee with a delicate taste and with a note of hazelnut, caramel and toasted bread.
The 110-year milestone marks an important step for the Modena company, which has embarked on a restyling of the packaging of all products intended for the large-scale retail trade.
“Having arrived at the fourth generation”, affirms Alessandra Cagliari, at the head of the company together with his father Alberto – “we have decided to modernise, creating a contemporary packing system able to ensure greater impact on the shelves and provide more information to the consumer, ever more attentive to brand messages and values. There is no compromise or change, instead, with regards to the quality of the coffee”.
The restyling currently involves the reference coffee beans and ground coffee products and the Nespresso® compatible capsules; we expect to complete the entire range by the end of the first half-year of 2020.
